The pre-owned luxury market has a trust problem, and it isn't hard to see why. Search any marketplace for a "vintage Chanel" piece and you'll find listings with blurry photos, vague condition notes, and prices that seem to come out of nowhere. Buyers are often left guessing whether what arrives will match what they saw on screen — or whether it's authentic at all.
That uncertainty is the reason most people hesitate before buying resale, even when the piece is exactly what they've been searching for.
We built our sourcing process around a simple idea: it should be harder to get onto our shelves than off them. Every piece we're offered goes through a structured evaluation before it's ever listed — authenticity markers specific to the house and era, hardware and stitching consistency, material condition, and a comparison against known reference points for that model. Pieces that don't clear every stage don't get listed, regardless of how good a deal they might otherwise be.
This is also why our inventory looks the way it does. We'd rather show fewer pieces we stand behind completely than a larger selection padded with anything that just "passes." A narrower catalog, curated this way, is the point — not a limitation.
